ON-LINE REGISTRATION FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

On-line registration opens on Thursday, July 5, 2018, for ALL returning students.  On-line registration will be REQUIRED for all returning students for the 2018-2019 school year.  (There will NOT be a walk-in registration event at OMS this year.)  Preferably, you can complete this process from your own home; however, you may come to the District Office (1002 11th Avenue, Orion) beginning July 5 - open all summer (8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Fridays) to complete the process if you do not have access to a computer with internet service.  Please go to http://www.teacherease.com and log-in to your child(ren)'s account to begin the process.  (Please contact your child(ren)'s school or the District Office (open all summer) if you have not yet created your TeacherEase account.)  On-line registration will close at midnight on Friday, August 17, 2018.

2018-2019 Kindergarten Students:  Please follow one of the three options listed below:
1.  If your child will be a new kindergarten student this school year and you have completed his/her paperwork at Kindergarten Roundup, please register as a "Returning Student."
2.  If your child will be a new kindergarten student this school year, and you currently already have a student in the district, and you did NOT attend Kindergarten Roundup, please log into your TeacherEase account and click on the Online Registration tab.  If you do not see it, you will find the link under the Miscellaneous tab (at the top of the page).  You should have the option to register a new student.  Once we have accepted your new student, you can continue the registration process.  Also, please call the District Office to make an appointment for your new student.
3.  If your child will be a new kindergarten student this school year, and your family is new to the district, and you did NOT attend Kindergarten Roundup, please click on the link below to obtain a new TeacherEase account.  You will need this to register your Kindergarten student.  Once you have been approved by the district, you can continue the registration process.  Also, please call the District Office to make an appointment for your new student(s).

New Students to the School District:
1.  Please call the District Office to make an appointment for your new student(s).
2.  Click on this link:  New Student Registration 2018-2019.  (Not active until July 5, 2018).  A new window will open.  Complete the information for your child(ren) and your contact information.
3.  Check your email.  The email subject line should read:  Registration Request Successfully Sent for Orion CUSD 223.  The email will be from no-reply@teacherease.com.  If you do not see it within a minute or so, check your spam folder.
4.  Check your email again.  There will be a new email from no-reply@teacherease.com with the subject line:  Please complete online registration for your new students for your new account, then click the link and set a password for your new Teacher Ease parent account.  (This email is created as soon as our staff has approved your request.)  They will process requests as quickly as possible, usually the same business day.)
5.  After your password, login to Teacherease.com and choose "Continue Registration".  Your child(ren) should be listed below this option.  (Do not click Register New Student.  If you do, it will start the process over again.)




ALL school fees may be paid on-line using your credit card.  This includes registration fees, student lunches, athletic fees, etc.  The District will credit the $2 convenience fee for each payment of $50 or more to your child's lunch account.  If you prefer to pay school fees with cash and/or checks, please stop by the District Office (7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 Noon on Fridays).  (Checks may also be mailed to the District Office, P.O. Box 189, Orion, IL  61273.)  One check for ALL fees for all family members will be accepted!

Fee waivers are available for those families meeting income eligibility guidelines.  A completed Fee Waiver Application and income verification documents must be returned to the District Office (and approved) prior to beginning the registration process, for fees to be waived.  The 2018-2019 Fee Waiver Application.  Please click here for a Fee Waiver Application.

Busing information will be completed through the on-line registration process (except for new students).  Please contact Julie Lough, Transportation Director, (526-3382 or jlough@orionschools.us) if you have any new bussing changes from last school year.

Completed physical and dental forms may be mailed to the School Nurse, P.O. Box 189, Orion, IL  61273; or dropped off at the District Office (7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 Noon on Fridays), 1002 11th Avenue, Orion.  Completed physical forms are required for all new students to the district, kindergarten students, 6th grade students, and 9th grade students.  Completed dental forms are required for all 2nd and 6th grade students.  Physical and dental exams need to be completed and returned to the School Nurse by the first day of school (Wednesday, August 15, 2018).

Students who are new to the district may register on Thursday, August 2, and Friday, August 3.  Please call the District Office (309-526-3388) during the month of July to make an appointment or call the appropriate school office in August to make an appointment.  School offices will reopen on Wednesday, August 1.

Additional student registration information for the 2018-2019 school year will be included in the August/September 2018 Newsletter.  The first day of student attendance for the 2018-2019 school year is Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
