Welcome to the School Social Worker's page for C.R. Hanna Elementary School

Welcome to C.R. Hanna Elementary School!  I am Melissa McCullough, your School Social Worker.  Through individual, small, and large group discussions, students will learn essential strategies for social/emotional growth in home and school environments.  Here are some of my goals:

-- To assist students in understanding the school environment/expectations
--- To help children gain interpersonal and communication skills
-- To help children learn problem solving and decision making skills
-- To develop community pride and involvement
-- To develop school success skills

--To address emotional issues that me be situational or long-term (i.e. mental health concerns, family issues, grief counseling).

--To collaborate with families in providing advocacy, parenting support, and allocation of community resources
