
OMS students learned about Native American culture during an assembly on Thursday. Chief Gerald Savage discussed traditions, music, storytelling, citizenship, and some of the Native American heroes who fought for the United States during the World Wars and beyond.

OMS Choir hosted the Prairieland Conference Choral Festival Thursday night. Our students were outstanding. 200 students represented the 7 conference schools.
Thank you to Ms. McCullough for putting on a great show. Thanks to the OHS staff for hosting us. Finally, thanks to the families who fed all of the students and our janitorial staff.






8th Grade students visited Circa 21 today. Circa hosts several programs which discuss professions within the Arts. Students also watched Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.
6th and 7th graders were treated to a performance by Morgan Myles. Ms. Morgan has a successful singing career and was a contestant on The Voice.

The School District will have an e Learning Day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, due to the Winter Weather Warning. All after school activities will also be canceled on Wednesday. School will be dismissed early today, Wednesday, February 5, due to the icy weather that is predicted to be in our area later this afternoon. CR Hanna will be dismissed at 2:00, followed by OMS and OHS. There will be NO afternoon ESP at CR Hanna after school today. Please stay safe.

Several OHS students visited with our 8th grade today. They discussed the many opportunities our students will have at the high school. Thank you to Mrs. Bakener and all of our presenters for mentoring our students today.









OMS students were treated to a livestream with Brooks Gibbs during study hall today. Brooks Gibbs is a resilience educator with a PhD in Social Psychology. He is a popular youth speaker who has been hired by more than 3,000 schools. He specializes in teaching youth how to be emotionally resilient and inspires them to live by the Golden Rule.
AnnMarie and Jack helped Brooks with the presentation.

OMS received our new record boards for track. The boards are located in the main hallway near the cafeteria.
