🍦🎉 FIRST QUARTER CELEBRATION: HUMAN SUNDAE! 🎉🍦
CR Hanna finished quarter 1 with a SWEET celebration! Our goal was to stay under 25 office referrals and we got to celebrate by turning some of our brave staff members into HUMAN SUNDAES!
From marshmallows to chocolate syrup and plenty of sprinkles, our students had a blast celebrating their hard work and success! A HUGE thank-you to our staff members who were such good sports and took one for the team!
We are so proud of our students for working hard, meeting their goals, and making the first quarter a success!

Orion FD came out with all the trucks, lights, and sirens for our last fire drill. 1st grade got to visit the station afterwards.
Osco FD stayed to let 2nd grade students spray the fire house!

A few of our fourth grade students have been learning to embroider in Embroidery Club. They are using some recess time to learn. It’s an exceptionally fun activity during indoor recess!
What a great day of learning at Black Hawk State Park! Our first graders learned about the Sauk and Meskwaki tribes and how they lived throughout the different seasons. They also enjoyed a hike through the park while discovering the many animals that call different habitats home.

CR Hanna will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The conferences are first-come-first-serve - so don't wait to grab your spot for a 15 minute conference.
We will be closing the sign ups on Friday, October 16, 2026.

🐄🌾 Kindergarten Farm Night! 🚜🐷
Our kindergarten families had the BEST time getting a taste of farm life! They got to sit in tractors, pet some furry and feathered friends, play farm-themed games, and create fun crafts.
A BIG thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this special night possible! We loved seeing our kindergarteners learn, explore, and make memories with their families.

Yesterday the fourth grade class went to wildlife prairie park. Students got to explore many different animals within their habitat. They experienced an up close animal encounter with native Illinois animals.
Today was RED DAY at CR Hanna inspired by Jessie to go along with our monthly PBIS theme!
Our students and staff showed off their RED and brought so much school spirit to the day! We loved seeing everyone join in ❤️

The front parking lot will be reserved for limited walking ability patrons. Extra parking will be available across from the CR Hanna parking lot in the OMS practice field. Lines will be painted and helpers will help you park!
