On Thursday, Mrs. Peterson and Miss White took a group of OHS students to the Living Lands and Waters floating classroom to learn about river-related careers. Students practiced carrying barge lines, simulated connecting and loading barges, and competed in a barge scavenger hunt. They also heard from employees from Cargill and the Illinois DNR about their jobs along our rivers.

OHS Student Council Members attended the BlackHawk Association of Student Council’s Convention on Thursday! Students were able to interact with various school districts to build leadership skills and connect through several roundtable discussion groups.
