The Orion Music Boosters is a non-profit group of volunteers whose purpose is to lend support, both financially and physically, to the band, choir, and drama departments at C.R. Hanna Elementary School, Orion Middle School, and Orion High School.
We help by organizing volunteers to assist with:
The Marching Chargers half-time shows, competitions, and parades
High School and Middle School music contests, concerts, and trips
Uniform fittings for marching band, OCC, and drama productions
Concessions for plays and musicals (3 per school year)
Any activity the directors and/or students need assistance with
Special gate parking at Orion Charger home football games
Organize and assist with Marching Band Camp Cookout
Assist with organization of student trips

Manning a concession stand at the John Deere Classic

When students participate in the noted* fundraisers, they earn 50% of the profit which is saved in their student trip account and can be used on student trips. More information about the student trip accounts can be acquired by emailing the Orion Music Boosters Treasurer, Autumn Manning.

A special thank you to the Wyman Coulter Trust for assisting with the cost of a 21-foot cargo trailer in 2018 and 80 new marching band uniforms in 2021.
Another special thank you goes to Madi Greenwood, Sophie Selander, Catie Johnson, and Avery Monson for their efforts in raising funds for the purchase of our new Marching Band Uniforms through their OHS Civics class projects in 2020.

Orion Music Boosters was able to donate our retired marching band uniforms (purchased in 2010) to Marching Links, a business in Pennsylvania that sells gently-used band and choir program supplies to interests schools and organizations
Every other year, our OHS music students are able to participate in a week-long music trip. Through coordination with Bob Rogers Travel, they traveled by coach bus to Disney World in June 2016. In June 2018, the student group visited Nashville and Memphis.
Our OMS students has been able to enjoy a day trip to Adventureland in May each school year.
