Orion High School's Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 19th from 6:30-8:00 PM. New this year, Open House will follow a cafeteria-style format giving parents the ability to visit classrooms at your own pace and on your own schedule. The OHS north parking lot (aka the Faculty Parking Lot) will be closed today and tomorrow due to resurfacing. If you are wanting to get to and or use the track you will need to park in our main parking lot and walk down. Thank you!
BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBER APPOINTMENT - Following the April 1, 2025, Consolidated Election, the Orion Board of Education announced an opening for a Board of Education member. The opening was advertised and ten candidates applied for the position. At the June 18, 2025, Orion Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the appointment of Colton Drish to fill the vacant Board of Education member position, effective immediately. Mr. Drish is a resident of Colona Township. Mr. Drish will fill the vacant position until the next Consolidated Election to be held in April 2027. We welcome Mr. Drish to the Orion Board of Education and thank him for serving our school district!

The Village of Orion is sponsoring a Clean-Up Day and E-Waste Disposal on Friday, June 20, 2025. Specifications for both events may be found on the School District's website. E-Waste drop off is located on the East side of Central Park, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025. Please feel free to contact Village Hall if you have any questions (309-526-8139).

OHS Student Council had the pleasure of helping with the CR Hanna Field Day today! The sun was out and smiles were endless. Not sure who had more fun, the elementary students or the high school students.
A little rain doesn't stop us from hosting Girls Soccer Regionals today! OSC United is currently down 1-0 at halftime vs. Peoria(Richwoods).
