OHS Drama "The Clearing" being performed at CR Hanna this afternoon.

Mark your calendars!!! The OHS National Honor Society is hosting a Holiday Gift Wrapping Fundraiser on Saturday, December 16 from 8am-noon with pickup no later than 3pm. Drop your boxed and labeled gifts off, and leave the wrapping to them. All proceeds go to Toys for Tots!

Exciting news! The new softball scoreboard has been installed and the old scoreboard removed. Thank you to the Orion Athletic Boosters and the Brick Paver Fundraising Committee for their generosity in purchasing the new scoreboard. Also a huge thank you to our district staff (Tom Hamerlinck, Henry Carson, Mitchel White, and Cooper Herd) for all of the work they put into the scoreboard projects. The larger scoreboard and new centerfield location look great!

It's Toys for Tots time! OHS Student Council is working to make a difference once again! They will be collecting new unwrapped toys from now until 12/11! Please consider making a difference in a young child's life this holiday season. Your donation can be dropped off at the high school anytime between 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. If you don't have time to shop that's ok - cash donations are accepted as well! StuCo will also host a 50/50 raffle at the Boys Basketball game on Saturday, December 9th at 4pm to support Toys for Tots, we hope to see you there!

As part of his Work-Based Learning Experience (formerly Co-Op), OHS senior Cooper Herd is employed in the Orion School District transportation department. He knew he'd help maintain the transportation fleet, but he probably never imagined he'd help prep and install 28ft steel beams for the new softball scoreboard. Also, a big thank you to the Rental Guys for donating the use of the forklift to install the beams! Not sure it would have happened without the lift.

The Orion School District would like to thank the Orion Athletic Booster Club and the Village of Orion for all of their work in purchasing and installing a new scoreboard at Love Park. In addition to benefiting the OHS baseball team, it will also benefit youth programs within the district as well. Additionally, the Orion Athletic Booster Club, the OHS Brick Fundraising Committee, and the school district collaborated in purchasing a matching scoreboard that will be installed at the OHS Softball Field in a new centerfield location. Thank you to everyone involved!

OHS student council members are ready to deliver the food they collected for the Student Hunger Drive. A huge thank you to OMS and CR Hanna for their participation and to the entire Orion community for your generous contributions!

The OHS Student Council is participating in the River Bend Food Bank Hunger Drive. Orion has been well represented for several years and even placed first in our division last year! However, we are in need of your help! Currently we are EXTREMELY low in donations and would love for you to help us reach our goal. Any non-perishable food item can be donated in the OHS Office and we can even accept cash donations and do the shopping for you!
Did you know the River Bend Food Bank can turn $1 into 5 meals for those in need! Imagine what your donation CAN do!
Donations can be brought to OHS between 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday- Friday or call and we can arrange a pick-up! Last drop off date is November 8th!
Thank you to all who have already helped us fight hunger! Your support is greatly appreciated! With your help - we CAN do it!
