Track Meet Parking: Due to extremely soft school grounds, parking will only be permitted in the paved parking lots at OHS for the Orion Invitational Track Meet this evening.
Tonight's Softball game vs. Mon-Rose has been postponed to a later date. We will be making it up on Wednesday May 13th here at Orion Softball Field. It will be Varsity Only starting at 4:30pm.
Today's Softball game at Forreston and JV Baseball game at Hall have been canceled due to the weather.

Today OHS had two individuals participate in the Illinois TopTimes which is considered Indoor Track State. Congratulations to Sophomore Savannah Streeter who placed 2nd in the High Jump and Senior Owen Voorhees who placed 7th in the 60meter Dash! We love seeing hardware being brought home. Now keep it rolling into outdoor season start next week!
Charger Football had a special guest stop by today, with some encouraging words for the team! Thank you Logan Lee for coming in and speaking to our guys about the identity of football as a whole, overcoming adversity and life as an athlete. Once a Charger always a Charger!

Congratulations to Senior Kyler Owens for being named to the 2025-206 IBCA Class 1A All-State Second Team! Kyler broke and became the new all time leading scorer this season, ending his career with 1,902pts! What an incredible achievement and unforgettable career here at OHS for Kyler Owens!!

Due to high winds and severe drifting creating hazardous road conditions, the Orion School District will have an E-Learning day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17.
Due to the weather conditions and temperatures tomorrow March 17th, both Baseball vs United and Softball vs Galesburg have been postponed! Baseball will be rescheduled for Sat. May 23rd. And for Softball we are still currently working on a new date and will announce once decided.

Due to the weather forecast for Monday March 16th, both Girls Soccer at Galesburg and Baseball at home vs. Limestone have been postponed. For Girls Soccer we are currently in the process of finding a new date to reschedule. Baseball we will be rescheduling for Thursday March 19th at Love Park starting at 4:30pm!
Our students had an amazing time celebrating Hawaiian Day as part of our PBIS celebration! The school was filled with smiles, laughter, and tropical fun as students enjoyed a day of well-earned rewards for demonstrating positive behavior and making great choices.
One of the sweetest parts of the celebration was a special treat—students enjoyed delicious cookies shaped like surfboards or Hawaiian flowers!
