Congratulations to the OMS 8th grade Scholastic Bowl team who won the 2025 Prairieland Conference Scholastic Bowl Tournament. Team members include: Finn Burnham, Wyatt Butler, Drew DeBaillie, Jaxon Ferry, Grace Lilly, Walker Mason, Collin Patterson, Leo Nedved, Dylan Versluys and Harrison Wright. It was a clean sweep as the 7th grade team also won but escaped before a large group picture could be taken.

Students also watched Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery. 6th and 7th graders were treated to a performance by Morgan Myles. Ms. Morgan has a successful singing career and was a contestant on The Voice.

OMS students were treated to a livestream with Brooks Gibbs during study hall today. Brooks Gibbs is a resilience educator with a PhD in Social Psychology. He is a popular youth speaker who has been hired by more than 3,000 schools. He specializes in teaching youth how to be emotionally resilient and inspires them to live by the Golden Rule. AnnMarie and Jack helped Brooks with the presentation.
